UNPAC: Uniting Police & Community

Real Immigration Help & IRTC
Real Immigration Help & IRTC

The Immigrants Responding to Crisis (IRTC) initiative plays a crucial role in assisting residents in obtaining essential support during various crises and emergencies, whether they be natural or otherwise. Established in 2007, IRTC primarily consists of dedicated volunteers and frequently collaborates with officials from the Department of Homeland Security (USCIS) and the NYPD. The initiative’s focus extends beyond emergency response, as it organizes immigration seminars and facilitates access to financial, legal, housing, and other resources for community residents, a significant number of whom are undocumented immigrants. IRTC’s ultimate goal is to furnish necessary resources and ensure that every resident, regardless of immigration status, is well-informed about their rights and fully empowered to make decisions that enable them to lead honorable lives as Americans.
