Brooklyn Salutes highlights excellence in service and honors individuals within the Brooklyn community for their commitment and contributions to the development and growth of Brooklyn at large. Selected annually based on demonstrated commitment and work with the community and have made a marked difference in the lives of the people living in our community, honorees include community leaders, members of the clergy, entrepreneurs, or residents giving a helping hand. Honorees have elected to help others along the way, sowing seeds of hope and positivity and have effected change, enabling us to become a more united, stronger community with a brighter outlook for the future of our residents and our neighborhood.
